The Red Storm, under the direction of fifth-year head coach Frank Darby, enjoyed one of their most successful spring seasons ever, winning three District 2 events and posting a fifth-place finish at the University of Michigan Wolverine Invitational.
St. Johns is led by Andrew Svoboda (Stamford, Conn./Mamaroneck [N.Y.]), a junior who won three events during the Fall and posted a 72.00 stroke average. In 17 career college starts, Svoboda has finished among the top-seven 14 times. He is currently ranked 60th in The Golfweek-Sagarin individual ratings.
This is an exciting time for the Red Storm program, Darby said. We have a chance to do something really special here and were hoping to start it this weekend.
