St. Johns Announces Inaugural Womens Golf Team Members

Bolger was a letterwinner in basketball and soccer, as well as golf, at Haddonfield Memorial High School. During her high school golf career, Bolger was named first team All-State and first team All-South Jersey in boys golf in 2000. She placed seventh in the New Jersey State Boys Golf Tournament and second in the New York State womens amateur event in 2002. She is the three-time defending club champion at Tavistock.
Lebel was a letterwinner in swimming and cross-country, as well as golf, at Sarnia Collegiate in Ontario, Canada. Lebel earned the OLGA Handicap Reduction Award in 2000 and 2001 and was named Most Valuable Player for three consecutive years from 1999-2002. She was a member of the team that competed for the Optomist World Golf Championship in 2001 and played on the Optimist National team from 1998-2002.
Rhee was four-year letterwinner in golf at Abington Senior High School. She placed 16th in the Pennsylvania State Golf Championships in 2000. Rhee helped Abington win four straight District Championships from 1997-2001. She attended the University of Maryland-Baltimore County for one year before transferring to St. Johns.
Sanders was a letterwinner in track and field, basketball, and volleyball ,as well as golf, at St. Christopher High School. She was named Most Valuable Player in all sports, while she captained the basketball team for two years, the volleyball team for three years and the golf team for four years. Sanders has been named team captain of the Red Storm for the 2002-03 season.
Thomson was a letterwinner in basketball, volleyball and soccer at Fort Frances High School. She won the Sportsmanship Award and Outstanding Contributor Award for the soccer team in 2001. In 2002, Thomson was named Most Valuable Player of the volleyball team and Most Outstanding Player (offense) on the soccer team.
The Red Storm womens golf team tees off in its first event on October 4-6 at the Princeton Invitational. The tournament will be played on Springdale golf course in Princeton, N.J.
