Recent graduate Jose Zayas is the leading middle distance runner in the Dominican Republic and is seeking to compete in Athens in the 1500m. Final rosters & team entries for all nations are due August 9th for the Athens Olympic Games.
"We are so very proud of all our athletes who have sought to represent their countries at the Olympic Games this year" stated Head Coach Jim Hurt. "The Olympic Games is the highest level of track & field competition held on the planet and to have nine athletes from our program seeking to reach that level is a testament to their dedication and sacrifice required in reaching such heights. We wish each the best of luck in their endeavors and enjoyed and appreciated their time, effort, and success, they attained while being part of our program here at St. John's."
