The St. John's women's cross country team will look to improve on last year's 12th place finish. Leading the way for the Red Storm will be senior Jasmine Barreto (Staten Island, N.Y.) and junior Jodey Johnson (Portmore, Jamaica). The Red Storm will race against some of the best in the country. In the latest national polls, five BIG EAST teams were ranked or received votes. Ranked teams include No. 4 Notre Dame, No. 16 Providence and No. 29 Marquette, while Georgetown and Villanova received votes.

We are looking forward to testing ourselves against the nation's elite cross country runners. Our team has worked hard over the past few weeks and will give its best in the championship."
Meanwhile in the men's race, Notre Dame is No. 5 while Georgetown falls in No. 7 in the nation.
