St. John’s Cross Country Competes in ECAC XC Championship

The Red Storm scored 607 points to finish 21st as a team
BRONX, N.Y. – The St. John's cross country team returned to Van Cortlandt Park for its final regular season race, racing the ECAC Cross Country Championship on Friday. As a team, the Red Storm finished 21st out of 25 teams. Full results can be found here.
Six Johnnies competed in the 6K race, with Naiara Garcia once again leading the Red Storm. Garcia was the top finisher for St. John's, stopping the clock with a personal-best time of 22:19.6. This marks the second consecutive week that the Spanish native has registered a career best.
Attoya Harvey completed Friday's run in 23:53.4, and Ana Dobsa rounded out the top three with a season-best time of 24:55.2.
Cristina Stanescu, Mia Torres and Eileen Grenados also competed at Van Cortlandt Park. Stanescu finished with a time 26:27.8. Torres also posted a career-best time in the 6K, crossing the line at 28:28.8, and Grenados made her season debut, rounding out the squad with a time of 30:26.3.
St. John's return to the trails at the 2025 BIG EAST Cross Country Championship presented by JEEP on Friday, Oct. 31 in Ashland, Neb. This year's championship race will take place at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. Tickets can be purchased here.
