Kaydian Reid Advances To NCAA Championships

Kaydian Reid (Windsor, Conn.) qualified for the NCAA Championships when she crossed the line in fifth place in the 400 meter dash at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday on the campus of North Carolina A&T. Reid clocked in with a time of 53.57 seconds.
The top five competitors from each race advance to the NCAA Championships, which be held at the A.G. Spanos Sports Complex in Sacramento, Calif. from June 7-10.
Reid was also a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that took fourth in its heat and 13th overall, recording a time of 3:40.06. The other three members of the squad included Tarashon Broomes, Thalene King and Nerissa Pelle.
In the hammer throw, Blessing Egwu hurled the weight 55.86 meters (183???3???) for an eighth place finish overall and was seventh in her flight.
