Kaydian Reid Halted In NCAA Track and Field Semifinals

Senior Kaydian Reid's (Windsor, Conn.) journey to the NCAA Track and Field Championship finals was cut short Friday afternoon when the Red Storm runner was unable to secure a place in the top eight of the 400 meter dash semifinals.
Reid crossed the line in tenth place, fifth in her individual heat, with a time of 52.63. She qualified for the semifinals on Wednesday with a 52.96 performance in the preliminaries.
Meanwhile, on Thursday morning, senior Blessing Egwu (Queens, N.Y.) did not qualify for the women's hammer throw semifinals after fouling in each attempt.
