Track Seniors Finish Season At NCAA East Regional

Seniors Kellie Brown and Tetee Kuyateh ended their final season at St. John???s at the NCAA East Regional Championships on Saturday, May 26 at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
Kuyateh finished 18th in the hammer throw with a distance of 49.44 meters. The top three finishers, Jenny Dahlgren from University of Georgia, Ashley Harbin from Lafayette and Sarah Vance from SUNY Buffalo threw distances of 67.80 meters, 60.51 meters and 59.71, respectively.
In the triple jump, Brown placed 37th with a throw of 11.32 meters. Nicole Brown of Georgia Southern finished first with a distance of 13.26 meters. Brown was followed by Alyce Williams of Florida State and Particia Momona of Clemson with distances of 13.24 and 13.17 meters, respectively.
The Red Storm track team will conclude its 2007 season at the USA Junior Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., on June 20. Freshman Fayanne Francis will represent St. John???s at the meet.
