QUEENS, N.Y. - Head golf coach Ambry Bishop and the Red Storm women's golf team will travel to Princeton, N.J., this weekend to compete in the Princeton Invitational. The event takes place at the 6,200-yard, Springdale Golf Club. Rounds will begin on Saturday, Sept. 22 and end on Sunday, Sept, 23 with one round each day.
"I look for a lot of positives to come from this tournament as we gain valuable experience," said Bishop. "The girls had a great summer and I expect that to carry over to the season."
This is St. John's first tournament of the year and all six golfers will be competing. Five of which will count for the team score, while the last will compete as an individual. The Red Storm is led by senior Brittany Lambertson and five sophomores: Renee Cloutier, Lois Kim, Michele Romano, Ashley Szewczuk, and Samantha Tejada.
The Red Storm is one of fifteen teams competing in the Princeton Invitational this weekend. Albany, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Lehigh, Penn, Princeton, Sacred Heart, Siena, Southwestern, Wagner, and Yale round out the other fourteen.
