St. John's Opens Road Trip Facing Louisville

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's basketball team opens a two-game road trip when it travels to face No. 8/12 Louisville at Freedom Hall on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

History Lesson
• The contest between St. John's and Louisville is the sixth meeting between the schools, with the Cardinals leading the series 4-1. St. John's only win came in the first meeting, a 79-63 victory on Feb. 15, 2006.
Scouting The Cardinals
• Louisville enters the game with a 23-3, 10-2 BIG EAST record. The Cardinals have won four of their last five and two straight. The only losses for Louisville on the season were to Nevada (85-82), UConn (93-65) and West Virginia (79-70). The Cardinals are scoring 73.2 points per game and their average margin of victory is 16.8.
• Two players are averaging double-figures in scoring for the Cardinals. Angel McCoughtry is leading the way, averaging 22.8 points per game. The senior is shooting 44.7 from the field, going 214-of-479, and she is pacing the team with 29 3-pointers made. She is close to averaging a double-double with a team-high 9.2 rebounding average. Candyce Bingham is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 11.8 ppg. She is 106-of-235 from the floor to shoot 45.1 percent. Five Score In Double Figures
• For the first time this season, five Red Storm players reached double figures in scoring. Kelly McManmon led the way with 17 points, 14 of which came in the first half. The senior was 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-8 from 3-point range, tying her career-high in treys. Sky Lindsay and Centhya Hart scored 12 points each. Lindsay was 5-of-15 from the field and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. Hart tied her career high in points, going 4-of-8 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. Kristin Moore and Joy McCorvey rounded out the double-figure scorers, each turning in 10-point performances. McCorvey was 4-of-6 from the floor and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Moore posted a season high in points off a 5-of-9 effort from the field.
Hart On Fire
• Hart came off the bench and had a big game against Syracuse on Feb. 14. The sophomore scored 12 points, tying her career-best, on a 4-of-8 effort from the field and a 4-of-5 performance from the charity stripe. She saw action in 25 minutes and assisted on two baskets.
