NEW YORK - The St. John's men's tennis team lost a tight match to Columbia, 4-3, on Friday at the Lions' Dick Savitt Tennis Center in Manhattan. With the loss, St. John's falls to 3-3 on the season, while the Lions improve to 5-2.
Columbia gained an early 1-0 lead in the match by winning the important doubles-point with a straight sweep over the Red Storm lineup.
