MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Kelly McManmon scored 16 points and Da'Shena Stevens added 11, but that was not enough for the St. John's women's basketball team as Marquette came away with the 69-56 win on Saturday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center.
McManmon led the Red Storm in scoring for the fifth time this year. The senior was 6-of-19 from the field and 4-of-12 from long distance. She also recorded two assists and a steal.
Stevens posted her 18th double-digit scoring effort of the year, going 5-of-12 from the field and 1-of-2 from the free throw line. The rookie grabbed a game-high seven rebounds and her four assists tied her career high.
Junior Joy McCorvey and sophomore Sheree Ledbetter tied for second on the team with five rebounds each. McCorvey also set a new career high with five steals, while Ledbetter set a new personal best with two assists.

The Red Storm rallied and came within five, 55-50, when McManmon nailed a trey at 6:25, but could not come any closer as the Golden Eagles held on for the win.
