St. John's Takes Sixth at Shamrock Intercollegiate

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's golf team (135-over 999) tied for sixth place overall at the Shamrock Intercollegiate, hosted by Winthrop University. The three-round event was held at the par 72, 6,000 yard Tega Cay Golf Course.
Junior Lois Kim, 29-over 245, paced the Red Storm as she tied for 20th. Renee Cloutier was just behind Kim, carding 30-over 246, tying for 22nd place. Junior Samantha Tejada also finished within the top-30 as she tied for 26th with a 31-over 247.
Freshman Ellen Oswald tied for 49th with a 45-over 261. Junior Michele Romano rounded out the Red Storm starting five and ended in 65th with a 69-over 285.
Head coach Ambry Bishop-LaRosa and the St. John's women's golf team returns to action March 30-31, when the squad travels to Beallsville, Md. to play in the Hoya Women's Invitational at the Member's Club at Four Streams.
