Women's Track & Field Releases 2009-10 Schedule

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's Cross Country and Track & Field head coach Jim Hurt announced the schedule for the 2009-10 track & field season.
The Red Storm will kick off the indoor season at the Manhattan College Multi in Riverdale, N.Y. on Dec. 1.
St. John's will compete at the Armory in New York City twice in January, at the Armory 8-Way on Jan. 16 and at the Great Dane Invite on Jan. 22. Those races will help prepare the Red Storm for the indoor BIG EAST Championships, held at the Armory on Feb. 20-21.
The Red Storm will conclude the indoor season by traveling to the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass. for the ECAC Championships on March 6-7.
The track & field outdoor season opens with a trip south to Conway, S.C. for the Coastal Carolina Invite on March 19-20.
The Red Storm will host its annual Monday Meeting on April 5 at DaSilva Field on the St. John's campus.
St. John's will travel to the BIG EAST Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 1-3. The ECAC Championships will take place in Princeton, N.J. on May 14-16.
With 22 letterwinners returning, the track & field program hopes to build on its success from 2008-2009 when it won its second consecutive outdoor Metropolitan Championship.
