The Red Storm has won five-straight in the series against Seton Hall with a 16-point average margin of victory in that stretch. The Red Storm has won nine of its last 11 games against the Pirates.
St. John's held Seton Hall to 16 first-half points, marking the fifth time this season that the Red Storm has limited an opponent to under 20 points in one half. The Red Storm has an average margin of victory of 25.6 points when holding an opponent to under 20 points in one half this season.
The 40 points allowed by the St. John's defense was a season best.
Sophomore Da'Shena Stevens finished with game highs of 17 points and 12 rebounds, recording her fourth double-double of the season and the eighth of her career. Stevens has averaged 13.7 points in three career games against Seton Hall.
Senior Kelly McManmon was 3-of-5 from 3-point range against Seton Hall. McManmon is 10-of-20 from beyond the arc in BIG EAST play this year.
McManmon received a plaque before the game in recognition of her becoming St. John's all-time leader in 3-pointers. She now has 178 career treys.
Senior Joy McCorvey had seven rebounds against the Pirates and now has 688 career boards, moving past Kerry Karst (683) for fourth place on the all-time list.
With the victory over Seton Hall, St. John's head coach Kim Barnes Arico earned her 119th program victory, breaking a tie with Don Perrelli for the second-most all-time.
Freshman guard Nadirah McKenith recorded a career-best nine assists against Seton Hall.
