• St. John's 70-46 victory over Providence marked the fifth time this season that the Red Storm has held an opponent under 50 points. Last season, STJ held opponents under 50 six times.
• The Red Storm's 24-point margin of victory was its largest over a BIG EAST opponent this season.
• With 12 points and 12 rebounds against Providence, senior forward Joy McCorvey recorded her fourth double-double of the season.
• Freshman guard Eugeneia McPherson scored a career-high 12 points against the Friars. She scored 10 points in the first half, including eight during a 13-2 STJ run that pulled the Red Storm out of a 13-6 hole.
• Senior guard Kelly McManmon continued her hot streak from beyond the arc, going 3-of-4 from 3-point range to finish with nine points. In eight BIG EAST games this season, McManmon is shooting .524 (22-of-42) from long distance.
• Freshman guard Nadirah McKenith dished out a game-high six assists in the win, marking the seventh time this season that she has had six assists or more in one game. The Red Storm is 6-1 overall and 5-0 at home when McKenith has six dimes or more.
• The St. John's "Mac Attack" came up big in Saturday's win over the Friars. McCorvey, McKenith, McPherson and McManmon accounted for 55.7 percent of the Red Storm's offensive production, scoring 39 of the team's 70 points. On the season, the "Mac Attack" is responsible for 38.2 percent of STJ's scoring.
• Freshman guard Amanda Burakoski recorded a career-high four rebounds in the STJ win.
