Freshman point guard Nadirah McKenith tied the school record for single-game free-throw percentage, going 10-for-10 from the charity stripe against Marquette.
Sophomore forward Da'Shena Stevens led the Red Storm with 18 points and 12 rebounds to record her third double-double of the season. She tied her season high with seven offensive rebounds against the Golden Eagles.
The Red Storm's 13-point win marked its largest margin of victory over Marquette in history. St. John's last defeated Marquette 77-67 on Feb. 2, 2008, at Carnesecca Arena.
With the victory over Marquette, St. John's head coach Kim Barnes Arico tied Don Perrelli for second most program wins all-time at 118.
After a 2-for-6 effort from long distance against Marquette, Kelly McManmon is now two treys away from breaking the STJ career 3-point record held by Monique McLean at 172. McManmon currently has 171 career 3-pointers.
Joy McCorvey now has 673 career boards and ranks fifth on the St. John's all-time rebounding list. She is 11 rebounds away from passing Kerry Karst (683) for fourth place.
Shenneika Smith netted 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. The freshman guard has scored in double figures in 12 of the Red Storm's 15 contests.
