QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's basketball head coach Kim Barnes Arico will be celebrating her 10th year at the helm of the Red Storm program during the 2011-12 campaign, and to kick off the season right, St. John's will host alumnae day on Nov. 12 coinciding with the season home-opener against St. Bonaventure.
Barnes Arico invites all St. John's women's basketball alumnae to hone in on their old skills and participate in an alumnae game at 11 a.m., followed by complimentary lunch reception, where attendees are also invited to bring a guest. At 2 p.m., all alumnae and fans will gather in Carnesecca Arena for the official start of the 2011-12 campaign. St. John's will unveil the 2011 NCAA Tournament banner prior to tip off against the Bonnies. At halftime, alumnae will be welcomed to the Carnesecca Arena floor for a special presentation.

St. John's women's basketball alumnae should also mark their calendars for the Winter Alumnae Reception scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012. The Winter Alumnae Reception will be held at Madison Square Garden during the men's and women's double header. The men's team will host Georgetown at noon, followed by the women's BIG EAST contest vs. Marquette.

Please note, the women's basketball home game against Marquette on Sunday, Jan. 15 at Madison Square Garden will be ticketed as a doubleheader with men's basketball and is subject to men's basketball pricing.
