COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Red Storm senior high jumper Priscilla Frederick finished 10th with a jump of 1.82 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships, held at Texas A&M University.
A two-time All-American who entered the meet seeded 10th, Frederick matched her career- and season-best height of 1.82 meters to place 10th, just outside of the top eight point scorers. Frederick's finish earns her second team All-American status. Frederick tied for eighth at last year's Indoor Championships.
A native of Sicklerville, N.J., Frederick won this year's BIG EAST Indoor Championships title in the high jump and finished second at the ECAC Indoor Championships. She holds the school record for both the indoor and outdoor high jump and is one of only two Red Storm track & field athletes to ever earn first team All-American status twice. Friday's meet marks the end of the 2011 indoor season.
The rest of the Red Storm track & field squad will open the outdoor season on March 18 in Orlando, Fl., for the Disney Invitational.
