Red Storm Finishes In Third Place At Rutgers Invitational

QUEENS, N.Y. -
The St. John's Women's Golf team finished their fall season on Saturday with a third place finish at the Rutgers Women's Invitational with a second round 318 (+30). Sophomore Harin Lee and junior Jennifer Neville tied for the team lead and 12th place overall with two-round scores of 157(+13). The finish marks the best of the fall for Neville who is in her first year competing for the Red Storm after transferring from South Florida.
Junior Sebin Kim and senior Ellen Oswald also recorded top-20 finishes as Kim shot a second round 79(+7) and Oswald carded an 80(+8) in round two to both finish at 159(+15) for the tournament.
Sophomore Stephanie Eybers recorded a top-30 finish after carding 80 (+8) in round two to finish at 160(+16) for the event.
Boston College took home the individual title at 616(+40), while Kortnie Maxoutopouli of host Rutgers took the individual title with a two-round total of 150 (+6).
The tournament marks the fourth top-5 finish in as many events for the Red Storm this fall and the third top-3 finish, including a win at the Richmond Spider Invitational. Lee led St. John's with a 74.7 stroke average over nine rounds this fall.
