Red Storm Trailing After Day One At Tiger Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. - The St. John's men's golf team found itself in the back of the competitive 15-team pack after day one of the Tiger Invitational, finishing the two-round opener with a team-total of 635 (+59).
After struggling in the first round early Monday morning, junior Dylan Crowley was able to turn things around in the afternoon session, carding a pair of late birdies to finish six-over to better upon his earlier 12-over round of 84 for a Day One total of 162.
Senior Ryan McCormick leads the Red Storm, tied for 52nd with a 156, after carding a team-best 75 in the first round that included an eagle on the 14th hole.
Junior Obe Ayton shot the team's second-lowest score with a 77 in the first round, finishing the day with a 160 to tie for 64th. Ben Ludlam rounded out the Red Storm's team score with a 161 while Sean Byrne ended the day with a 163.
The Red Storm will round out the Tiger Invitational on Tuesday with the final round of action starting at 10:05 a.m. ET.
