Stretching back to its game against Dartmouth on September 14, the Red Storm has not allowed a goal in 293 minutes of action.
Senior Marisa Ammaturo recorded the lone goal of the afternoon, the first of her St. John's career.
Despite its low score, the match featured plenty of scoring chances, as Creighton tallied 18 shots and St. John's fired 16. Nine of the Red Storm's shots were on target as well.
St. John's struck in the 36th minute, as Ammaturo unloaded a shot from 20 yards out to give her squad the lead. Deanna Murino picked up a helper on the strike.
Creighton had a solid scoring chance off a corner kick in the 71st minute, but Allie Moar blocked a shot at point blank range to keep the Bluejays off the board.
The Bluejays picked up another scoring chance in the final minute of the contest after earning a corner, but Poulin came up with the stop and secured the Red Storm victory.
The Red Storm returns to Belson Stadium this Thursday night, hosting Marquette at 7 p.m.
