Grant Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - For the second-straight week and the fourth time overall this season, Danaejah Grant has found a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced this morning by the league office.
In a 1-1 weekend for the Red Storm, Grant averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per outing. The senior from Piscataway, N.J., converted on 56 percent of her tries from the floor during the two-game stretch.
Grant currently leads the BIG EAST in scoring at 19.6 points per outing.
On Friday afternoon against Georgetown, Grant scored a game-high 17 points to go along with two assists, two blocks and two steals in 38 minutes of action, as the Red Storm outlasted the Hoyas to pick up a 65-60 victory in the nation's capital.
Against the Wildcats on Sunday, Grant recorded her eighth 20-plus point effort of the season, tallying a game-high 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor.
Grant and the Red Storm will return to Carnesecca Arena this weekend, playing host to Butler and Xavier.
