Lewis Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - For the first time in her St. John's career, Aaliyah Lewis has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced this afternoon by the league office.
Lewis takes home the weekly honor after a standout performance against Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon. The 5-5 junior from Staten Island, N.Y., made seven of her 11 shots from the field and drained seven of her eight tries from the free throw line, finishing with a career-high 22 points. The Bishop Ford product also registered three rebounds and three assists in a full 40 minutes of action.
The Red Storm completed its regular-season sweep of the Pirates on Sunday and picked up its fourth win of the season against a team in the RPI Top 50. Following the win, the Red Storm (17-6, 8-4) is tied with Xavier for second place in the BIG EAST standings.
St. John's returns to action on Friday night, hosting Villanova at 8 p.m. on FS2.
