Hackimer Earns First Team ABCA All-Northeast Region Accolades

QUEENS, N.Y. - For the second-straight season, reliever Thomas Hackimer has earned first team All-Northeast Region accolades from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
A third team Collegiate Baseball Newspaper All-American and a first team CoSIDA Academic All-American this past season, Hackimer also became the first reliever to earn BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year honors since 2005 and earned unanimous first team All-BIG EAST honors.
Hackimer went 7-3 with eight saves and a 1.17 ERA in 28 appearances as a senior. The reliever totaled 71 strikeouts in 53.2 innings of work and allowed just a .133 opponent batting average.
In 26 regular season appearances, Hackimer posted a 7-1 record with eight saves and a 0.72 ERA in 49.2 innings of work. The righty added 67 strikeouts and held the opposition to just a .094 batting average.
Selected by the Minnesota Twins in the fourth round (123rd overall) of the 2016 MLB Draft, Hackimer was also a semifinalist for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy.
