Selected by the Mets in 15th round of the 2015 MLB Draft, Hackimer returned for his senior season and became the first reliever to win BIG EAST Picher of the Year honors since 2005. A third team Collegiate Baseball Newspaper All-American, Hackimer also earned first team ABCA All-Northeast Region honors and unanimous first team All-BIG EAST accolades, and was a semifinalist for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy.
