QUEENS, N.Y. ââ'¬" St. John's fencing head coach Yury Gelman is currently in Rio coaching Red Storm alums Dagmara Wozniak and Daryl Homer. Wozniak is competing in the women's team and individual saber competitions, while Homer is fencing in men's individual saber. STJ-TV caught up with the five-time Olympic coach for an interview via video chat to discuss the 31st Summer Olympiad.
In the interview, Gelman talks about his expectations and how both Wozniak and Homer have improved over the years. The five-time Olympian also talks about the importance of representing St. John's at the Olympics.
