Feygin, Dumitru Complete Competition at Women’s 2026 NCAA Championships

Feygin finishes fifth overall as Red Storm picks up 25 victories at Notre Dame
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The St. John's women's fencing team saw strong performances from Nicole Feygin and Catinca Dumitru at the 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships at Notre Dame this weekend.
As a team, St. John's finished 14th in the overall standings with 25 victories and a .543-win percentage, the sixth-best out of 22 participating schools.
Feygin led the way for the Red Storm, posting a 16-7 record in women's epee to finish fifth overall following the first two days of competition. The sophomore tallied 97 touches scored against 88 touches received for a +9 indicator, placing herself firmly in contention among the nation's top performers in the weapon. Feygin capped off her performance by earning Second Team All-America honors.
In saber, Dumitru recorded a 9-14 mark across 23 bouts to finish 17th overall. The junior totaled 78 touches scored while competing against a deep national field, improving on her 19th-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships.
