St. John's Golf Wraps Up Play at the Lady Cat Invitational

The Johnnies finish fifth overall in Daytona Beach
The St. John's women's golf team turned in a three-round 915 to finish fifth overall at the Lady Cat Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Andrea Sanchez and Kaitleen Shee led the Red Storm in the final round, each turning in a 73 to jump four spots in the overall standings. Shee drained a trio of birdies over the final 18 holes while Sanchez registered back-to-back birdies on the inward nine.
Competing as an individual, Jessie Kweon tied for 19th overall, recording a final-round three-over 75. Alejandra Sanchez wasn't far behind at four-over 76 to place 24th.
Junior Linda Wang carded a three-round 236 (75-82-79) on the par-72, 6,300-yard Rees Jones Course.
Lydia Kim and Sofie Huseby rounded out scoring for the Red Storm turning in a 241 (79-84-78) and 266 (89-89-88), respectively.
Barry University claimed the team title, carding an eight-under 856. The Buccaneers' Noemie Pare and Josfina Foa Torres finished as co-champions, each registering a combined six-under 210.
The Johnnies will return to action on March 13th, when they travel to Pinehurst, N.C., for the Pinehurst Women's Intercollegiate.
