New York native Noah Kaminsky joins the Red Storm
QUEENS, N.Y.- Director of Track and Field Aliann Pompey has announced the addition of Noah Kaminsky to the coaching staff. Kaminsky will serve in a volunteer coach capacity and primarily coach the pole vault event.
"Noah rounds out our staff nicely," said Pompey. "His experience in the vertical jumps helps us close the scoring gap even further. His knowledge in the event group is exactly what we needed. To have a dedicated coach in those events will breathe new life and energy into the group and the team."
Kaminsky brings a wide variety of coaching experience to Queens. Most recently, Kaminsky spent time at the nearby Dalton School coaching both boys and girls track and field. He coached pole vault, high jump and triple jump. Under his watch, Kaminsky led two athletes to second-team all-conference.
Before Dalton, Kaminsky spent time in Riverdale, N.Y., serving as an assistant coach at Manhattan College and The College of Mount Saint Vincent. Kaminsky coached pole vault while with the Jaspers and helped lead the sprint and relay events for the Dolphins program.
Beyond track, Kaminsky is also an accomplished middle school teacher in the New York City area. Kaminsky has taught science at Horace Mann School in the Bronx and Hunter College High School in Manhattan.
