St. John’s Readies for Tilt with Boston College

The Red Storm to host ACC foe on Friday evening
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's tennis team is set to battle Boston College on the courts of USTA National Tennis in its home opener on Friday night at 8 p.m.
St. John's enters this one following a comfortable 6-1 victory at Quinnipiac on Saturday. The Johnnies claimed five of six possible singles matches. Veteran Ignacio Garcia extended his unbeaten streak in match play, which now stands at 18, following a 6-2, 6-3 rout of Ayato Arikaki.
Freshman Ryota Kaneda and Yaron Guberman tallied their first collegiate victories as part of the win over the Bobcats.
Boston College ventures to the Big Apple looking for its first win of the 2022 season. In their opener, the Eagles fell at no. 24 Harvard, 7-0, on Saturday in a cross-town affair.
The last time these two squared off, St. John's bested Boston College 5-2 on Jan. 25, 2019 at the USTA National Tennis Center. The victory marked Head Coach DIllon Pottish earning first win as a collegiate head coach.
