St. John’s to Conclude Regular Season at ECAC Championships

The Red Storm will compete in the event for the first time since 2019
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's cross country team will return to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the ECAC Championships on Friday morning. The 6k race is set to commence at 11 a.m.
Last time out, the Red Storm tied its best finish in program history at the Metropolitan Championships last Friday, capturing second for the second consecutive season.
Ezgi Yasar posted her third straight 5k time of 19:40 or better last Friday while capturing a third-place finish to continue her strong freshman season.
Senior Claire Cushing was close behind Yasar, crossing the line at 19:42.6 and grabbing fourth place overall. Cushing has finished below the 20-minute mark in every 5k cross country race of her four-year St. Johns tenure.
Junior Hannah Huleatt continued her solid season with a 13th-place finish last Friday with a time of 20:40.8. Huleatt also secured her first top-three spot within the Johnnies squad in 2022.
Gabriella Caronia will look to build off her personal best time at Van Cortlandt Park that she set last week. This will be the first time that Caronia, along with five other members of the Red Storm, will compete in the ECAC Championships.
The Johnnies will take part in the ECAC Championships for the first time since 2019 when they finished 11th.
