Red Storm opened its 2022-23 campaign this weekend
QUEENS, N.Y. (Sept. 26, 2022)- The St. John's men's tennis team opened its season over the weekend hosting three matches on-campus as part of the Hofstra/ St. John's Invite
The Red Storm competed in the four-team event alongside Hofstra, Drexel and Fairleigh Dickinson.
The Johnnies got off on solid footing this weekend with five players recording three or more wins. 2021 All-BIG EAST Second Team selection Carl Gustavsson recorded four victories on the weekend.
The top doubles team of Axel Vila Antuna and Stetson transfer Diogo Marques won both of their contests this weekend. Marques tallied two individuals victories.
Junior Matthew Mosejczuk recorded his first singles win of his Red Storm career. The East Elmhurst, N.Y. native added two doubles victories partnered with Giuseppe de Camelis.
Doubles duo of Ryota Kaneda and Roger Rogowski tallied two victories in partner play.
The Red Storm will be back in action next week at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
