The Red Storm make the top-25 list for the third-straight year
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.– The St. John's women's golf team ranked 13th overall on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team rankings, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Johnnies compiled a cumulative team GPA of 3.83, which ranked the highest in the St. John's athletic department for the second-straight year.
This marks the third consecutive year and the fourth time in five years that the Red Storm are among the top-25 in academic performance out of 249 NCAA Division I women's golf programs.
St. John's is one of just two BIG EAST programs to make the list, joined by Creighton, who checked in at seventh overall.
On July 6, seven Red Storm golfers- Laia Barro, Jill Beglin, Karen Beglin, Cloe Clocchiatti, Amy Kim, Angelica Kusnowo and Jessie Kweon were named to the WGCA's Scholar All-American Team for their achievements on the course and in the classroom.
