Leyre Campo de Quevedo paced the Red Storm with a top 60 mark

LEESBURG, Va. – The St. John's cross country team finished up its regular season at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va., on Friday morning. As a team, the Red Storm came in 11^th place with 321 points.

As she did all season, freshman Leyre Campo de Quevedo paced the Johnnies with a 58^th place result on a 6K time of 22:58.07, in her first ever BIG EAST Championship.

Ezgi Yasar finished behind Campo de Quevedo for second on the Red Storm, with a 23:03.03 mark for 64^th place.

Ana Dobsa and Naiara Garcia finished back-to-back in 89^th and 90^th at the conference championship. Dobsa posted a 24:56.47 result while Garcia ran the course in 25:09.60 for fourth on the Johnnies.

Cristina Stanescu and Brenin Mahon rounded out the Red Storm's effort at the league championship. Stanescu wrapped up her regular season with a time of 26:47.76 while Mahon posted a 27:01.53 effort in the first BIG EAST Championship of her career.
