Red Storm will take on Trinity on Friday in the second game of its Texas road trip
AUSTIN, TEXAS – The No. 55 St. John's fell short on Wednesday against No. 10 Texas, 7-0.
The Red Storm fall to 10-3 with the loss.
The Longhorns took the team doubles point after earning victories on the No. 2 and 3 courts. On the No. 1 court, Francisco Bascón and Leonardo Mileikowsky were locked in a tight battle with sixth-ranked Eliot Spizzirria and Cleeve Harper before the match was declared unfinished.
Texas (9-2) won all six matches in singles competition to complete the victory. The Longhorn lineup featured four players ranked in the top-100 nationally, including No. 1 Eliot Spizzirri and No. 2 Micah Braswell.
The Red Storm will be back in action on Friday to take on Trinity in San Antonio. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
