St. John’s Set to Visit Monmouth on Wednesday

The Johnnies are 15-2 for the first time in program history
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's tennis team will play the second contest of a three-match road swing when it visits Monmouth on Wednesday. First serve from the Outdoor Tennis Complex in West Long Branch, N.J., is set for 1 p.m.
After defeating Hofstra last Wednesday, the Johnnies (15-2) dropped their second match of the season on Saturday against Cornell, 6-1.
Ryota Kaneda and Adam Groves have paced the Johnnies in doubles action, earning a 13-0 record so far this season as a duo. Leonardo MIleikowsky and Ignacio Vinas have also impressed when paired up, winning six contests in dual-match play in 2025.
In solo play, the Johnnies have been led by Kaneda and Mileikowsky, who are 12-1 and 10-2, respectively. St. John's has also received impressive performances from Max Amling, who is 9-4, and Vinas, who has won nine of his 12 contests. All 12 of Amling's solo contests have come on the No. 1 singles court.
Monmouth is 12-1 this season and has won four straight matches, most recently earning a home victory on Saturday against Siena, 4-0.
St. John's is 3-2 all-time against Monmouth, most recently earning a 4-3 triumph last season in Queens. The Johnnies have won two straight against the Hawks.
Following Wednesday's contests in the Garden State, the Red Storm will finish off the roadtrip on Saturday against Yale in West Haven, Conn.
