Jackson Tucker also notched three hits, posting a pair of doubles, a walk, three tallies and an RBI. Jayder Raifstanger was the third Johnnies to go 3-for-5, picking up a trio of scores in the process.

Evan Chaffee, David Rodriguez and AJ Lausten combined for 5.1 scoreless innings with a total of seven punchouts. Rodriguez picked up his third win of the season at Bulldog Park.
In the top of the opening inning, the Johnnies posted the first run of the game. Tucker whacked a leadoff double that rolled to the right-center field wall and moved over to third on a Raifstanger single. The speedy outfielder came into score on a Beebe RBI groundout, giving the Red Storm a 1-0 edge in the first frame.
St. John's put up a two-spot in the top of the second stanza. Will Cowan kicked off the inning by drilling a double into left field. Agresti then launched a two-run shot 398 feet over the left-center field fence, increasing the Red Storm's advantage to 3-0.
The Johnnies posted another tally in the away side of the third inning. With one out, Raifstanger blooped a single into right field and sprinted to third on an error in the same play. Beebe then drove him into score, pushing St. John's lead to 4-0.
Following a scoreless fourth stanza, Butler posted a pair of runs. A Bulldog singled up the middle, before Jack Moroknek hit a two-run homer, cutting their deficit down to two, 4-2.
St. John's posted two tallies in the top half of the sixth inning. Beebe led off the frame by singling through the left side and advancing to second base on a groundout. Agresti proceeded to smash an RBI double into left field, scoring Beebe. Agresti then rounded the bases to home plate after Orbon sent an RBI base knock into right field, growing the advantage back to four, 6-2.
In the top of the seventh, the Johnnies scored three more runs. For the second time in the contest, Tucker led off the inning with a double, prior to a Raifstanger walk. Beebe then crushed an RBI double into right-center field that brought Tucker home, while a McMillan sacrifice fly sent Raifstanger to the plate. Orbon finished off the inning by lining an RBI two-bagger down the left field line, plating Beebe to increase the Red Storm's lead to seven, 9-2.
In the flip side of the seventh, Butler countered back with two scores of their own. After the leadoff batter worked a walk, Moroknek hit his second two-run long ball of the day to trail by five, 9-4.
The Johnnies continued their run production, posting three scores in the away side of the eighth. LeGrande pounded a leadoff double down the left field line and was brought in to score after Beebe fired an RBI single through the left side. Cristian Bernardini came into pinch hit for Cowan and swatted a two-run two-bagger to the right field wall, putting St. John's up by eight, 12-4.
With two outs in the eighth, LeGrande singled into center field, advanced to second on a wild pitch and was waved home on a Tucker single. Raifstanger produced a base knock and Beebe worked a walk, in front of both Johnnies scoring on a two-run McMillan base hit, bumping the lead to 11, 15-4.
Butler was able to decrease its deficit down to eight, 15-7, in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI double, an RBI groundout and an RBI single, but they were unable to complete the comeback as the Johnnies took the final game of the regular season.
The Red Storm will head to Mason, Ohio for the BIG EAST Baseball Championship presented by Jeep, where it will hold the fourth seed. The conference tournament will kick off at Prasco Park when the Johnnies take on first-seeded Creighton at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21.
