Fencing to Compete at Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational on Sunday

The Red Storm will return to action in Staten Island
QUEENS, N.Y. — The St. John's men's and women's fencing teams will continue their 2025-26 campaigns, when they travel to Staten Island to compete in the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational this Sunday at Wagner for the penultimate meet of the regular season.

The Johnnies will fence three programs at Sunday's meet, beginning with Wagner at 8:30 a.m. St. John's then faces North Carolina at 10:30 a.m. before rounding out the competition against Penn at 11:30 a.m.
The Red Storm last competed at the annual St. John's Super Cup on Jan. 17. The men finished second overall after posting a 4-1 record on the day, including victories over Columbia, Ohio State, Princeton and Harvard. The women placed fifth, picking up a 17-10 win over Ohio State in the second round. Saber Vlad Covaliu and epee Nicole Feygin each posted a 11-4 record to lead the Johnnies, while both saber Adham Moataz and epee Samuel Imrek added 10 victories of their own.
Following Sunday's action, the Red Storm will conclude its regular season schedule in the City of Brotherly Love at the Temple Invitational on Feb. 22.
