The Red Storm are back in action on Saturday
The quartet of Jalen Jackson, Nyla Henderson, Leilani Robinson and Kettia Ambrose continued the Johnnies' winning ways at one of the oldest indoor track competitions in the world, clocking a time of 3 minutes, 44.56 seconds. Henderson ran the fastest split, completing her leg of the relay in 55.32 seconds.
St. John's finished ahead of local foes Monroe College, NJIT, Fordham University and Iona University. Monroe finished just under five seconds behind for second place.
"There's something magical about competing in New York City at the Millrose Games," said Director of Track and Field Aliann Pompey. "Three of the four ladies on the relay competed in multiple events at Mets on Friday and still found a way to win today."
Sunday's win caps off a dominate weekend for the Red Storm, making this their ninth event victory in three days.
The Johnnies return to action Saturday at the Big Apple Classic at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
