The Red Storm will host Creighton on Friday before facing Brown in Providence
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's tennis team will compete in two matches this weekend, beginning with a BIG EAST contest against Creighton (9–6, 1–0 BIG EAST) on Friday at the USTA National Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Red Storm will then travel to Providence, R.I., to face Brown (11–5, 0–0 Ivy League) on Sunday at 10 a.m at the Varisty Tennis Courts.
Last weekend, the Johnnies (10–2, 2–0 BIG EAST) wrapped up their Florida road swing with a 4–3 victory over Mercer before falling to FGCU, 4–1.
Creighton enters Friday's contest having won three of its last four matches, including a hard-fought victory over BIG EAST foe Georgetown in its most recent outing. The matchup also serves as a rematch of the 2025 BIG EAST Championship, where the Red Storm swept the Bluejays, 4–0, to claim the conference title.
St. John's has won each of the last four meetings against Creighton, dating back to 2014. Friday's contest marks the fourth consecutive season the two programs will face off.
Coming off an 18–12 campaign last season, Head Coach Mike Fried's Brown squad has opened the 2026 season with an 11–5 record, entering the weekend on a four-match winning streak with victories over Binghamton, Boston University, Navy and Georgetown.
Sunday's contest marks the 11th meeting between the two programs since 2007, with the Bears holding a 6–4 advantage in the series. In last season's matchup, the Red Storm defeated Brown, 6–1, in Queens.
Following this weekend's matches, the Johnnies will return to action on Tuesday against Monmouth. The date and time will be announced on a later date.
