As A Sophomore (2012-13): Outdoors - Discus: was the runner up at three different meets, including a silver-medal effort at the Metropolitan Championships (April 12-13) with a mark of 39.73 meters ... placed 15th at the BIG EAST Championships (May 3) with a new personal best throw of 41.03 meters ... posted a mark of 40.56 meters at the ECAC Championships (May 12) ... Shot Put: finished in the top five in all four meets ... placed third at the Kent Taylor Invitational (March 22-23) with a throw of 11.65 meters ... set a new personal best of 12.60 meters at the Sam Howell Invitational (April 6), finishing fifth.
At The Bishop[apos]s School: Lettered three years in track & field ... competed in the shot put and discus events ... spent two seasons as captain for both the track & field and basketball teams ... won the Division II Championship in 2010 in the discus ... recognized as the Athlete of the Meet in 2010-11 League Finals at Mt. Carmel ... member of two league track & field championship squads in 2008 and 2011 ... recorded high school bests of 140[apos]6' in the discus and 36[apos]4' in the shot put.
Personal: Daughter of Yosmia and Hernandez Johnson ... has two siblings, Shontai (28) and LaShawn (21) who attends Cal State-Monterey Bay ... was part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the African American Honor Society in high school ... has chosen to major in criminal justice in hopes of pursuing a career in the FBI or CIA.
