St. John's Baseball Doubleheader with Pittsburgh Postponed

Queens, NY - The St. John's baseball doubleheader with Pittsburgh scheduled for Saturday afternoon at The Ballpark on the Queens campus has been postponed due to heavy rain in the New York Metropolitan area.
The Red Storm and Panthers are scheduled to play on Sunday at noon in the series opener. The teams will play at least a single game tomorrow, and the series will conclude on Monday.
St. John's enters the weekend with an 11-9 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the BIG EAST. The Red Storm posted a pair of non-league wins this week, beating Columbia (22-3) and Wagner).
Pittsburgh is 13-8 overall and 1-3 in league play. The Panthers are coming off back-to-back wins over Niagara (12-0) and Kent State (12-2).
St. John's leads the head-to-head series between the teams, 33-11, and has won six of the last seven meetings. The Red Storm took two of three games Pittsburgh to close out the 2004 regular season and beat the Panthers, 4-2, in the BIG EAST Tournament.
