St. John's Baseball Announces Winter Clinics

QUEENS, N.Y. - Head baseball coach Ed Blankmeyer has announced that the St. John's baseball program will conduct its annual winter clinics from Dec. 26-28. The camp itinerary features five sessions that focus on different skills for different age levels.
The high school player clinic, Session I, is structured for high school students that want to play baseball in college. This session will focus on all aspects of the game, both offensively and defensively, and is open to high school players only. Session I is on Dec. 28 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and costs $85.
Session II is a hitting session for players 7 to 13 years of age or through eighth grade. This hitting session is on Dec. 26-27 and runs from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. at a cost of $65. The clinic is structured for the development of hitting mechanics.
Session III is a pitching/catching session for players 7 to 13 years of age or through eighth grade. The session costs $65 and runs from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on Dec. 26-27. The structure is geared to developing pitching and catching mechanics.
The high school hitting session, Session IV, is open to high school students only at a cost of $65. This session runs from noon-1:30 p.m. on Dec. 26-27.
The high school pitching/catching session, Session V, is open to high school students only at a cost of $65. The clinic is from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Dec. 26-27.
Campers should bring their own glove, bat and batting gloves. Attendees should also dress warmly as camp may be held outdoors if weather permits.
