Priscilla Frederick Wins BIG EAST Field Athlete Of The Week

QUEENS, N.Y. -Track & field senior Priscilla Frederick was named BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced today.
Frederick led the Red Storm to a second-place team finish at the Princeton Quad Meet on Friday, Jan. 7. She scored a team-high 21 individual points in the high jump, long jump and 60-meter hurdles, while also competing in the 4x400-meter relay.
A native of Sicklerville, N.J., Frederick jumped to a height of 1.70 meters to win the high jump. A two-time NCAA All-American in the event, Frederick currently ranks ninth in the nation with a season-best jump of 1.73 meters which she made at the St. John's Bill Ward Invitational on Dec. 8. That height qualifies her for both the BIG EAST and ECAC Championships.
Frederick finished in second place in the long jump at Princeton, reaching 5.49 meters on her best leap. The senior also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing third with a time of 9.38 seconds, and ran the first leg of the squad's 4x400-meter relay team which finished in 4:20.78.
Frederick will next compete at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday, Jan. 14, at the Armory in New York City.
