Priscilla Frederick To Be Featured On Inside The BIG EAST

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's senior Priscilla Frederick will be featured on this week's "Inside The BIG EAST" television show as the Student-Athlete of the Week. The show airs on Friday, Feb. 25, on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m.
Frederick is coming off a winning performance at last week's BIG EAST Indoor Championships, taking first place in the high jump and finishing second in the pentathlon. Frederick became just the third Red Storm athlete to win the high jump at the Championships. A two-time NCAA All-American and school record-holder in the event, Frederick currently ranks eighth in the NCAA in the event.
A native of Sicklerville, N.J., Frederick holds a 3.2 GPA while majoring in mass communications. She won the 2009-10 John W. Kaiser Award for the top female athlete at St. John's, and is a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
The weekly show will also feature the Red Storm men's basketball game against then-no. 4 Pittsburgh as its Game of the Week. St. John's defeated the Panthers in dramatic fashion on senior Dwight Hardy's underhanded layup with less than two seconds remaining.
Along with its showing on ESPNU, fans can watch the broadcast on SNY on Friday, Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and midnight. Video will also be available on-demand for free at the BIG EAST website.
