Berardi Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. ââ'¬" After totaling a team-high seven RBI as part of a 2-2 week for St. John's, Jesse Berardi has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Berardi hit safely in 3-of-4 games and batted .357 (5-for-14) with two multi-hit games and two multi-RBI contests. The shortstop had two doubles, one triple and one home run to post an .857 slugging percentage. Berardi added four runs scored and a .438 on-base percentage.
In a midweek win against Fairfield, Berardi went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. The sophomore had an RBI double and a two-run triple against the Stags.
Berardi was 0-for-3 in the series-opener against Nevada and had a 1-for-3 effort in game two. Berardi then went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored in the finale against the Wolf Pack. The sophomore had a two-run home run and a two-run double in the third game of the series.
St. John's returns to action on March 25 with a 2 p.m. game against La Salle at Angelo Lorenzo Memorial Field in Old Westbury, N.Y.
