St. John’s Venture to Yale For This Weekend's Connecticut State Championships

St. John’s closes out the fall season this weekend at Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center
Tournament Draws
The St. John's men's tennis team wraps up their fall season this weekend at the three-day Connecticut State Championships at Yale University's Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
Dillon Pottish's squad is coming off one of their best performances of the fall at the Army West Point Shootout in West Point, N.Y., last weekend. The Johnnies claimed victories in 26 out of their 30 total matches. Collectively, the team finished with a 16-2 record in singles play and 10-2 in doubles matches.
The Connecticut State Championship is comprised of nine competing teams from the Northeast region: Yale, Dartmouth, Sacred Heart, UCONN, Quinnipiac, Marist, Fairfield, Boston College, and St. John's.
The tournament will begin on Friday at 10 AM with doubles matches with singles matches following at 11:30 AM.

Andrei Crapcenco, Ognjen Trejgut, and Federico Ruiz Acevedo each captured their respective singles flight championships to lead the Red Storm.
