QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's Men's Tennis team continued its impressive form at Cunningham Park Sunday afternoon, sweeping the Marist Red Foxes, 7-0, to improve to 2-1 for the season.
"Today was a great all-around performance from the guys," said head coach Dillon Pottish. "It was the best doubles we've played so far this season and it carried us into singles play," added Pottish.
Andrei Crapcenco and Alex Roszkowski opened the doubles round with a 6-2 win in the No. 3 doubles match. Aditya Vashistha and Udayan Bhakar finished right after in the No. 2 doubles match, clinching the doubles point for the Johnnies with a 6-2 victory. In the No. 1 match, Alan Nunez Aguilera and Charlie James made it a three-win doubles sweep for the Red Storm with a 6-3 win.
