Ryan Markey logged two of the team's five hits on the afternoon, including a double, and scored once. Ryan Hogan also singled for the Red Storm.
After St. John's stranded runners on second and third in the top of the first, UNLV plated four runs in the bottom of the first to open a sizable lead early.
St. John's responded in the bottom of the second, as Glancy lifted a one-out solo shot to center to put the Red Storm on the board.
UNLV responded with two runs in the second followed by another run in the third, pushing its lead to six, 7-1, after just three innings of action.
Following a scoreless fourth from both sides, Markey led off the fifth with a double before advancing to third on a Peter Abinanti grounder and coming home to score on an RBI single off the bat of Bartels.
